This morning I stumbled across the Eco-friendly shopping blog, Great Green Goods .
Much to my surprise I discovered my re-purposed wool sweater wreath was featured on their site! How fun! My holiday wreaths are currently on an after Christmas sale.
I took some time off during Christmas to slow down on creating fun items for my store - mainly because it looked like Michael's and The Craft Warehouse exploded in my living room and it was becoming impossible to get our own lives prepared for Christmas.
How do you crafty mamas do it? How do you have multiple projects going at the same time and still manage to keep your house clean, your little one's fed and still find time to shower? And just so nobody worries - The Little is always fed - it's just the clean house and shower that sometimes -er- often goes missing.
After a much needed week of rest and relaxation, with family fun and cuddles thrown in frequently for good measure I'm feeling rejuvenated and ready to start crafting again. It seems to me that shortly after Christmas I'm ready to change out some of our decorations around the house. Some will stay up until the 12th day of Christmas like the nativity scenes. Some will stay up until spring - like the items on the nature table. But others come down - and I'm getting ready to replace some of those items with a few Valentine's Day goodies in a few weeks.
But mostly? I'm ready for some of the clear, clean spaces that greet me when I clear out some of the Christmas decorations.
As much as I love decorating for the holidays, I crave simplicity and empty space just as much with only a few loved items thrown in the mix. What about you?
Yours in blog love and the continuous changing seasons,
Simple Mama
Oh I hear ya! I tend to worry more about the creating than I do the cleaning, so yeah I generally go a bit longer between showers and cleaning the house but it's worth it to me :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you had such a lovely, sweet well-deserved holiday!
ReplyDeleteWe just returned from our holiday travels yesterday and as much as I love the sweetness of the decorations and memories, I'm ready to move onto the new year with a clean slate and home!
Our house really isn't as tidy as I like... there are craft projects EVERYWHERE, the kids and mine.... I just remind myself how lifeless the house would look without all this creativity in front of us ;}
