Weekend Market

We never had a Farmers Market in our town when I was growing up. It took me moving to the Northwest to fully experience and appreciate what they are. A sense of community, fresh, seasonal food, quirky people, beautiful crafts. Here are a few photos from our outing to the Farmers Market this past weekend. We won't have too many more opportunities to enjoy her before she closes up for the winter, so we're taking it all in now.

We've enjoyed this accordion player all summer. The Little always leaves him a tip.

Drumming - awesome with the exception that EVERYTHING is now a drum in our house. Thank you for teaching my son to make beautiful music All. The. Time.

My carrots never turn out this beautiful:

Deliciousness:

Enjoying his caramel corn:

Helping the balloon lady make his pink sword. Yes. My camo covered boy loves pink.

He valiantly fought ne'er-do-wells and scallywags all the way back to our car. Would you guess we just came home from the islands of the Bahamas where we battled pretend pirates all week?

Wishing you all the best with what's left of the harvest season,
Simple Mama
