Weekending

We were invited to spend the weekend with our friends J and B, who have a beautiful stone cottage out in the country north of here. We spent the first part of Saturday splashing around the water at the stunning Moulton Falls park. I can't believe we've never been there before. It's truly awesome - and with the thermometer creeping up into the high 90's, there wasn't a better day for it.

Later we joined J and B back at their property for dinner - including some fabulous Lebenese food. J's mama is 1/2 Lebenese and she can COOK!. Many of their friends and family camped out in J's generous backyard for the weekend. We unfortunately were unable to stay that long, but we had a great time meeting new people, talking boats, politics and philosophy, and exploring the area:

It really was a great weekend. I haven't been camping (or day camping?) with that many new people since I was in college, many moons ago. I was filled with such a sense of nostalgia and peace, just hanging out, enjoying the conversation and wonderful weather. I'm hoping that our friends decide to hold another camp out this summer so we can stay the evening. Just try not to do it when we're in the Bahamas please. :)

Cheers,
Simple Mama
