A short blog post today.
I've had lower back disc issues for sometime now, and I fear they are flaring up right now. My poor toddler is bored out of his mind as mama isn't much fun this week, laying down on the couch with ice and ibuprofen. I must admit that in the past few days more television has been viewed than I'm happy about, but I'm cutting myself some slack and repeating in my head that a little PBS won't destroy us.
I've been working on several orders of star lanterns, small and large. Here you can see them painted, cut out and oiled, just waiting for folding:
And an even larger order of felted wool acorn decorations. I have an exciting announcement about these acorn decorations coming shortly, but as a teaser I'll let you know that they will be finding a new home in a Waldorf inspired toy store soon! More on that later. Please excuse my photos today. Snarly, rainy pacific northwest weather does not lend itself to fantastic pictures. I must invest in a tripod and photography classes.
And before I forget...take some time to head over the The Funky Monkey and enter to win an organic doll from
Animals !
Yours in healing and creativity,
Simple Mama
Oh I am sorry about your back!! My lower back has been killing me lately, no fun!!! Hmm.. maybe your first knitting project should be a hot water bottle cover... ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd oh my goodness, yes, the PNW has not been kind to me and my photography, too. The sun barely exists but yet it is still somehow too bright some days or my lens. *sigh* Maybe we need a class together :)
Ok long rambling over.. I hope you feel better soon!! <3 <3
Sounds exciting about the extra large order. I hope your back heals quickly!
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon! Back pain is awful and I wish we lived closer so your little man could come over and you could get a break :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your Etsy order! That photo of the acorn caps and balls is wonderful :)
Sorry to hear about your back, my back pain has flared up lately too (and were not helped by slipping on some ice). Hope you feel better soon. In the meantime, be gentle with yourself.
ReplyDeleteThe acorn order sounds very exciting! Good luck!
I dont know about you, but I find my house quite dark for taking photos, especially at this time of year. I normally bring my day light crafting light into where I am taking the picture and that really helps with lighting issues!
ReplyDeleteCongrautlations on your exciting news!
Jen
Hi there. I just found your blog and am loving it. :) I read that you live in the Pacific Northwest...do you mind if I ask where? We live here as well, in Puyallup. :)

Hi Sheree,
ReplyDeleteWelcome to my little portion of the web. :) I'm happy you found me.
I live further south than you, down in the PDX metro area. If you ever head down this direction let me know. ;-)
