It's a Win-Win For You!!! An Itty-Bitty Contest

I've been thinking for sometime now that I wanted to hold my first contest.

In a previous life, back before I had a child that kept me occupied most of the day I would enter online contests for fun. I was pretty good at it too - winning a Kitchen Aid Stand mixer, an Xbox, a year of Netflix, etc.

The downside to all that contest entering was all the junk mail and little items I won that I didn't have any use for. Shot glasses with company logos on them, t-shirts in the wrong size - you get the picture.

When I started this path down natural parenting and simple living a few years ago, I just couldn't justify all the extra items that were coming through our door. The extra packaging, the junk mail, the items that ended up in the landfill or on their way to good will. Sweepstaking and decluttering didn't really go hand in hand.

But still - there is something exhilerating about opening your mail box and finding a prize waiting for you!

So here's the scoop. I'm running my very first contest. Up for grabs is a darling trio of needle felted hearts in red, white, and pink. Perfect for Valentine's Day. Perfect for your late winter nature table. Perfect to give to the one you love!

And one of my large Waldorf Star lanterns in a myriad of rainbow colors!

This contest is open to my friends overseas as well.

To win, simply leave a comment on this post telling me something, anything.

For an additional entries, leave separate posts for each of the following you do:
-Follow my blog
- Write a post and link back to this contest on your blog
- Sign up under my referral link on Swagbucks.com (This only works for UK and US and Canadian readers) It's free and easy.

You don't use Swagbucks? What are you waiting for?! Use it like you would your regular search engine and periodically be awarded Swagbucks which can be redeemed for Amazon gift cards and other prizes. Here are just some of the items I've traded my Swagbucks in for already:

Elsa Beskow Books:

This contest will be open until Saturday, January 16th.

Good luck and thanks for visiting my little corner of the 'net.

Yours in contesting fun,
Simple Mama

  6. Just to let you know, Swagbucks also works for those of us in Canada, which is awesome since very few sites like that actually seem to remember that Canada even exists. I'm on Swagbucks myself, and while I haven't been there long or saved up many points, I love the amount of things I can trade for that I can actually take advantage of because Canada isn't a forgotten country to them. :)

  16. Conservative Knitter,

I'm so happy you found my blog. Welcome, and thank you for your kind words. My acorns are little balls of needle felted wool that are then wet felted into a firm bead and glued into my acorn caps. :)

  26. Ages ago I read about online contests on a forum, they gave a few links to different ones. I entered a few, but didn't bother continuing with it on a regular basis. Months later, this package arrives for us, turns out to be a couple of DVD series', for a show my son loves. After studying the packaging carefully, I eventually found a name on it that reminded me of one of the contest sites - we'd actually one a prize in one of those contests & didn't know! And it happened to be something we really liked. Didn't prompt me to go back & enter more contests though.
